Supriya Nagarajan - Artistic Director
Supriya Nagarajan, the founding member of Manasamitra, is a Bombay born Indian, who studied Carnatic Vocal music from the age of five; her passionate love of music drove her to achieve great things and the desire to help people from all backgrounds find that passion within themselves.
Vijay Venkat - Music Development Officer
Vijay Venkat is a multi-instrumentalist and composer who plays many musical instruments and also sings. He was trained in many musical genres that includes Indian classical (Carnatic and Hindustani), western art music, jazz styles and has created his own unique style that is traditional and contemporary in musical expression. He has participated in music festivals around the world and performed solo concerts on the violin, flute and the vichitra veena; He has also collaborated with some of the top artists from India and from around the world in the UK. Vijay works as Music Development Officer with Manasamitra which also includes teaching music at Newham College in London.
Shrikant Subramaniam - Dance and Education Officer
Shrikant Subramaniam is a Bharatanatyam dancer and choreographer who graduated with an MA in dance anthropology from the University of Roehampton in London. He has performed extensively in India and abroad in a variety of genres, specialising mainly in classical South Indian dance. He has been working in the UK for 5 years with many reputed companies. He is also a dedicated and energetic teacher committed to his art.
