REQUIRED: Business Development Manager/Touring
JOB DESCRIPTION
Manasamitra is a highly creative Yorkshire based arts organisation using the heritage and traditions of India to create original, innovative musical theatre. The company seeks an experienced Business Development Manager/Touring to continue its programme of organizational development and assist delivering our successful Arts council England (ACE) Strategic Touring Award.
This is a P/T hrs weekly, fixed term post running till end October 2014 27,052 pro rata.
This post was created in 2012 with funding support from ACE to help the company achieve the next phase of its development. Over the last 18 months, the current post holder has worked with the Artistic Director to put systems in place to secure the company finacially and structurally. Manasamitra recently successfully secured a 3 year Strategic Touring award from ACE and became a KMC Creative Partner, consequently the role is changing and this post is being re-advertised to reflect changes in the companys needs.
The post holder will deliver a key role by leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive commercial strategy working directly with the CEO/Artistic Director. The post holder will be responsible for continuing the business forward planning, liaising with current funders, generating opportunities and playing an important part in overseeing the Strategic Touring Programme. We need a dynamic self starter, who wants to join Manasamitras creative team and bring business, touring and financial expertise to the company to help maintain its present level of development. The role retains a high degree of autonomy and it is important that the post holder is able to confidently and effectively manage their workload whilst actively seeking out improvements which benefit the company.
