Ilkley Literature Festival

The Singing Bowl

Manasamitra explores the world of lullabies through poetry, sleep-filled dance and lilting music.

One of Southern India’s oldest lullabies written for a king at his birth will be enlivened through voice, flute and dance. Be prepared to have your senses soothed and transported through time.

Performers: Supriya Nagarajan (Carnatic singing), Sarah McWatt (flute), Rashmi Sudhir (Mohiniyattam (dance) and Tshering Bhutia (Nepali vocals).
